Iósif Stalin
(en ruso Иосиф Виссарионович Джугашвили, en georgiano იოსებ ჯუღაშვილი) (*21 de diciembre de 1879 - †5 de marzo de 1953), mejor conocido como Iósif Stalin (Иосиф Сталин), político soviético. Fue el segundo líder de la Unión Soviética. También fue conocido como Koba (nombre de un héroe popular de Georgia). Usó varios seudónimos: David, Nijeradzé, Chijikov, Ivanóvich, hasta adoptar el de Stalin que utiliza después de la conferencia bolchevique de Tammerfors (Finlandia). El nombre Stalin deriva de la palabra rusa stal (acero) con el mismo sufijo posesivo personal in que también usó su predecesor Lenin.
